Project Proposal

My critical question is "how has technology affected the social skills of today's youth." I plan on studying children, mostly under the age of 5. I chose this group because I feel like they can shed some light on the social predispositions that humans have, and how we choose to interact before we are at the age where we use technology for this purpose. I do not interact with children often, other than family. My girlfriend and a few friends of ours work for the YMCA child watch and I will be able to observe as a fly on the wall and will also be able to ask a few of the kids some questions, such as how do they talk to their friends, what do they like to do in their free time, what kind of technology do they use (if they are old enough)? I will be using notebook or laptop to record my observations. I would like to get in this weekend, and also Tuesday if possible.
